The results of the initial survey answered by the students at Geniko Lykeio Neou Skopou led us to certain activities. Students played simple maths games, researched various topics and made presentations, took part in an economics contest and created a maths game. You can view all our school activities here.

SURVEY
125 students from all grade levels participated in the survey we conducted to measure our students' attitudes and behaviors towards mathematics.
Here are the first results:
34% of the respondents stated that they are very good with Mathematics, 33% stated that Mathematics lessons are very entertaining, and 16% stated that Mathematics is their favorite lesson.
However, only 34% stated that there were fun activities in Mathematics classes and 50% did not know famous Mathematicians.
Participants demanded that math-related games and competitions be organized to make math lessons more fun.

We are organizing a SUDOKU contest among our students to discover the fun way of Mathematics.

As part of the Erasmus literally eunited project, we held an 8th grade sudoku competition.In the tournament in which 30 students participated, 12 of our students made it to the finals in the pre-selection held on 15 December. In the final competition held on December 22, Begüm won the first place, Ömer Safa was the second, and Bartu and Attila İlhan Kaynar shared the third place.Prizes were presented to the winners at a ceremony.With the Sudoku tournament, we both competed and discovered the fun side of mathematics

ONLINE MATH GAMES
Online and Kahoot games about mathematics were played by Turkish participants. Riddles about Math were tried to be solved too.
MATH IS EVERYWHERE
Turkish students found Maths signs out everywhere. They took photos of them and added them to the given padlet.
FAMOUS MATHEMATICIANS
Turkish students studied the famous mathematicians and prepared online games about them. Let’s play to learn who they are!
